Welcome to the WangXian Gotcha Against ICE

Right now ICE is kidnapping people, locking them up in inhumane conditions, and subjecting them to horrific abuse. Our goal is to raise funds for organizations attempting to provide legal council for ICE's victims and for the emergency fund for families impacted by ICE. To this end we are recruiting writers artists and podficers to channel their love of WangXian into fighting back against ICE!

How It Works

During the sign up week fan creators sign up to write/draw/podfic prompts. Then during the donation week anyone who wants to donate makes their donations directly to any of the organizations (listed below) that this event is supporting. Once you make your donation you take a screen shot of your receipt (blacking out any personal info) and fill out the donation form with what prompts you want to receive, submitting your receipt as proof of donation.SFW prompts are $5 NSFW prompts are $8.

Creator Guidelines

To sign up as a creator fill out the sign up form. Once the donation period begins you will be randomly assigned prompts based on what you indicated you're comfortable with on the sign up form.If you receive a prompt you are uncomfortable with for any reason please reach out to an admin and we will switch it out for a different prompt no questions asked!!Requirements
Writers: Minimum 1K words
Artists: 1 cleaned up sketch
Podficers: 1 cold read of at least 15 minutes in length of your choosing matching the general tags/description given by your prompt. Note: if you would prefer to do an edited podfic rather than a cold read that's totally fine. The amount of editing (if any) is completely up to the podficerNote While you are more than welcome to go above and beyond the minimum and make the prompt as long/detailed as you like, that is never a requirement. If the prompt seems to ask for more than minimum/more than you want to do please feel free to base your creation on only a portion of the prompt or to reach out to an admin for advice.Posting: Once your prompt is complete please post it to twitter and/or blue sky tagging both the person who it is for and the gotcha account. Your prompt will not be check off until it has been posted. If you only have a twitter and the person who you are creating for only has a blue sky or visa versa please reach out to an admin and we will send the prompter your creation for you.If you have any questions feel free to DM us or to drop an ask into our StrawpageNote There are a lot of you and only 2 of us so please be prepared to manage your own time and post your work on or before the deadline. If there is a reason you can't finish your creations by the deadline or have to drop out of the event we understand that sometimes life and health happen. FAQs

-You may pay for as many prompts as you like-If you want to donate but can't think of a prompt you are more than welcome to donate prompts that can be claimed by others. Just tell us on your donation form that that's what you're doing.-There is no discord server for this event. All communication will be handled via twt/blsky DMs-You may not request artist writer collaborations, a specific word count, or anything else that would require the creators to go above and beyond their minimum requirement
-You are allowed to submit a prompt for art for your fic but you must describe what you want or include a couple lines from the fic in your prompt. You are not allowed to require the artist to read your entire fic-When requesting a podfic your prompt should consist of a couple of tags or a very general concept such as "I want a podfic of a WangXian omegaverse fic angst with a happy ending" or "I want a podfic of a modern AU where WangXian get together"-You may not request a specific fic to be podficed. This is partly because of the minimum length guideline and partly because not all fic writers give permission for their work to be podficed-If you are posting a multi chapter fic the fic prompt will be marked off as complete as soon as the first chapter is up-If, for some reason, we are unable to find a creator to take on your prompt we will let you know and you can submit a new prompt
